'Care' is arguably a word that can be open to interpretation, so we aim to leave you in no doubt about what we mean by 'care', our commitment to its delivery and our determination that it should always be the life-blood that runs through Iden Manor, every day, in everything we do.
Needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare) , cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and/or social but the level of care provided is always to the highest standard possible and willingly given.
Iden Manor is a family business; owned and run by two generations of people who passionately believe that Care should underpin every element of the support they give to residents. They are dedicated to providing excellent quality care within what is widely recognised to be a massively challenged industry.
To deliver great care is dependent on attracting and retaining the very best people – at all levels and across all roles. 'Good enough' is never good enough for us. And if evidence is needed that the ethos and commitment of our leaders are shared, you only have to look at the commitment of our people, many of whom have been with us for many years – some since the very beginning.
'Delivering care consistently' is in part achieved through the integration of efficient and effective administrative practices with first class standards of care. Delivery has to be in accordance with the requirements for registration and supplementary regulations, within the guidance and regulations of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, and subsequent Care Act 2014.
At its most simplistic, our primary objective is that residents live in a clean, comfortable and safe environment, and be treated with respect and sensitivity to their individual needs and abilities.

Every resident has a detailed care plan which is adhered to and updated on a regular basis.
All of the care staff at Iden Manor are appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standard of care, and all participate in a continuous staff training programme designed to ensure that standards are maintained.
A quality-orientated approach underpins all elements of service delivery and so a high degree of quality awareness is developed amongst all staff, through appropriate training, management and leadership.
We respond swiftly to the latest initiatives and developments in care practice and observe ‘best practice’ guidance from professional bodies such as the CQC, Skills for Health, NMC, SCIE and NICE as well as other research-based organisations.
Over and above our prescribed duties as deliverers of care, we do all we can at Iden Manor, to celebrate the person and ensure they live their life to the full, enjoying every day.
This means acknowledging the value in everyone.
